My name is Ania, and I'm so excited you are here!
I came to Chicago, over 15 years ago from a small town in Southern Poland. First I was impressed with the beautiful city of Chicago and quickly fall in love. At that time I was carrying a disposable analog camera and was exploring Chicago’s Downtown very often. Recording the city life, building, nature & people. Capturing the new place where I was going to live far, far away from my hometown.
Now I am a Mom of three wonderful children who are the reason I started to carry my digital camera everywhere.
Every step, smile & milestone was frozen on the paper. Although those pictures were not perfect, for me, they were the precious memories of my children's childhood.
In the beginning, I shoot a lot but most of the pictures landed on Facebook, then on the discs, and were forgotten. Busy life with the kids and I didn't have time to think about printing images. But one day my Mom sent me a few images of my childhood and I showed them to my kids. How my life looked back then. Then I realized that my own kids' pictures would be forgotten as well if I don't print them!
So I did start to print our own images and kids love to sit and go through them and sometimes they are bringing some funny stories about the situation from the image! It is a phenomenal feeling that I can bring memories back to life. It’s a good reminder of how fast time passes, and how the kids growing so fast. Those pictures are their childhood memories. It is their legacy for the next generations to share.
