Hi There & Welcome to my Blog.
Here is a little story about me, my family, and our journey.
My name is Ania and I have 3 wonderful kids, and since they were born I have my camera next to me most of the time. I didn’t want to miss anything. I loved to photograph my children, their innocence, and how they were exploring the world. Capturing those little things they were into it in that moment of their lives.
I did many short-time projects over the years but the one I want to share with you is Project 52. It was 52 fun weeks of our real, rough life. The idea behind the Project 52 was pretty simple, photographing my kids together. However, most of the focus was on my youngest son, Allan, and his relationship with siblings, Emilia and Oskar. When I began the project Allan was around 9 months old, exploring a lot, was learning how to walk, approaching a 1-year-old milestone, and being baptized.
Besides that lots of other things were happening in our lives, Grandma Zosia flew here from Poland for the very first time. My kids always saw their grandparents through Skype. So when Babcia came out from the plane, their excitement was up to the roof and they knew she was a real person not just someone behind the screen. I shoot pictures at home, with family and friends, where we were visiting, on trips, etc.
When the 52 weeks passed and I put all pictures together and made a video, I wanted to cry, because I almost forgot how busy we were, how many places we visited, and how fun it was. Those precious moments are really coming out of our minds in real life. But photographs are staying always and we can come back to them whenever we want.
If you thinking of doing those long-term projects, I really encourage you to try it. You will not remember what had happened 10-20 years back when kids were younger. But one day you can sit with your grandchildren and show them how life looked like in the past. You have nothing to lose but you can gain a lot.
Enjoy the show, let me know what you think and if you did one of a kind photo project, please share.
Thanks and stay safe.
